Agricultural company "Kanda Agriculture," operating under the "Harvest" brand, plans to raise product prices by 3-5% in 2026. Tamar Berulava, a representative of the company, told BM.GE that the price increase is expected to fall within this range based on previous trends.
“Our calculations show that we expect a 3-5% increase this year. Previous years have demonstrated that prices typically rise within this range,” said Berulava.
One of the main reasons for the price hike, according to Berulava, is the shortage of labor in the market. "It’s difficult to find workers to employ. At the same time, we’ve increased daily wages by 10% compared to last year," she explained.
Currently, the company employs around 15 people on a regular basis, but demand increases during the peak seasons. "During the season, we need 20 permanent employees, and during the fruit harvesting period, we add about 20 more workers," she added.
Founded in 2021, "Kanda Agriculture" owns 200 hectares of agricultural land in the village of Kanda, with 110 hectares currently cultivated. The company grows peaches, almonds, apples, pears, plums, cherries, and apricots.
