“I told the U.S. President that it’s time to begin our relations anew,” Mikheil Kavelashvili, GD Georgian President, summarised his visit to New York.
According to Kavelashvili, the U.S. President assured him that he would return to the matter of establishing a fresh start in the Georgia-U.S. relationship.
“The public is probably most interested in the dinner hosted by the President of the United States, where we met. I told him that it was time to rebuild our relationship, and he responded that he would look into the matter. He assured me he would certainly revisit this issue and follow up. Let’s wait and see what his response will be. We also had several other meetings with the administration, including with the Secretary of Commerce,” Kavelashvili explained.
