28 draft laws were published in the Legislative Herald with the signature of Mikheil Kavelashvili yesterday, who was elected to the position of President by the electoral college.
Among the published draft laws are amendments to the Law of Assemblies and Demonstrations, based on which demonstrators are prohibited from covering their faces with masks or any other things during rallies, as well as from using laser devices and pyrotechnics.
Illegal wearing of clothing or attributes of the established form in the MIA system (2000 GEL, with confiscation of the object of the offense);
Possession of pyrotechnic products, laser radiation and/or a device with sharp radiation during an assembly-demonstration, the use of which may interfere with the activities of representatives of state agencies and/or the proper functioning of technical means at their disposal;
Also, covering the face with a mask or any other means (fine of 2000 GEL);
Increased fines for violations of other rules of assemblies and manifestations (5000 GEL instead of 500 GEL, for the organizer - 15000 GEL).
Draft laws that increase administrative fines and simplify reorganization process in public services were also signed by Kavelashvili.
All these laws have entered into force immediately upon publication.
