Kazakhstan restricts exports of cash foreign currency, gold

Kazakhstan has banned exports of cash foreign currency in excess of $10,000 as well as exports of gold bars and coins and refined gold in excess of 100 grams, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s office said on Monday.

The move is aimed at the “protection of Kazakhstan’s national interests and ensuring financial stability,” according to the presidential decree.
