Koba Gvenetadze was appointed as the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Uzbekistan. The Former Governor of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) published the post on his official Facebook page.
"Time for a change - starting November, I’ve assumed position of the Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Uzbekistan, a country which has embarked on an ambitious reform path since 2017, liberalizing its economy and implementing wide-ranging reforms. I am thrilled to live in a new county, work with new counterparts and use my knowledge and experience to support Uzbekistan’s path towards reforms.
