The founder of Georgian Products declares, that the robots of the German company Kuka will be used in the production of pet furniture in 2-3 weeks.
As Davit Bardavelidze told BM.GE, transportation of robots was delayed due to the pandemic, and the company received 3 out of 6 robots in December last year.
“Kuka, a well-known manufacturer of robotics, whose products are used by "Mercedes" and "Porsche", has developed this line especially for us, so they are no serial machines. Due to the pandemic, this technique has just arrived and their installation is underway. We are waiting for the arrival of the remaining three. We will put the robots into production in 1-2 weeks.
We try to synthesize modern machines, new technologies and handmade production, because it is very important for our customers. At the same time, it is important to support the use of modern equipment in mass production, "- said David Bardavelidze.
According to him, the company is the largest manufacturer of pet furniture in the European market and Georgian Products has a 4-year development plan. "We are going to quadruple productivity with our partners in 4 years," he said.
Georgian Products has invested approximately 700,000 EUR in equipping their production with robotics. Launched in 2014, the company currently manufactures 1 million units of pet furniture and employs 550 people. The company has also started producing additional animal feed. This year, it also plans to set up a toy production line for pets.
