From December 1, 2021, cost of 1 cubic m natural gas will increase by 20 tetri for SOCAR non-household consumers. Now the private sector pays 95 tetri for 1 cubic m gas.

According to Ivane Goglidze, the founder of the company Kula, gas tariff increase will be a pressure for the enterprises located in the regions.

Goglidze does not specify how much the price of products will increase, but he notes that the price growth is inevitable, because natural gas expenditures in some products of Kula amounts to 25% of the products initial cost.

The founder of the company Kula also says that the private sector needs the state’s assistance during the winter. According to him, the increased gas tariff for the enterprises operating in the regions should be subsidized for 3-4 months.

"It will be good if the state takes any measures and subsidize the increased tariff during the winter in order to adapt. In my opinion, the business should take benefits through 3-4 months. This will allow us to keep the old prices until April-May, and to offer new prices to the market from the new season," said Ivane Goglidze, the founder of Kula.
