Lampino, a Georgian company producing handmade decorative lamps, says its sales have been gradually declining due to a decrease in high-spending tourist inflows. According to founder Keti Nozadze, the trend has continued from last year, with weaker demand particularly noticeable in recent months.

She explains that January–March is typically a slow period for the business, but this year the recovery has been weaker than expected. While some seasonal improvement is visible ahead of the tourism season, the number of high-spending visitors remains limited, directly affecting overall sales performance.

Lampino, which has operated in Tbilisi for two years, continues to sell both locally and through international platforms such as Etsy. However, Nozadze notes that fluctuations in online sales may also be influenced by platform dynamics and broader market changes. Product pricing has largely remained stable over the past two years, with entry-level items starting from around 15 GEL.

Despite challenges, the company says it continues to focus on maintaining quality and handcrafted production standards. Lampino, founded in 2019, produces customized lighting pieces using detailed handmade techniques and positions its products in the souvenir and design segment.
