Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Jeroen Clicq, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today. Information disseminated by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
"The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze.The dignitaries reviewed the cooperation between Georgia and the IMF.
As is known, an IMF mission is currently working in Georgia as part of consultations carried out under Article IV of the IMF’s Articles of Agreement.The discussion highlighted economic growth in recent and past years, along with other macroeconomic indicators.
The importance of stable fiscal and monetary policies in the country’s development process was also emphasized.The IMF Executive Director thanked the Minister of Finance for cooperation with the Fund's mission and for discussing important ongoing issues.At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further develop relations between Georgia and the International Monetary Fund", - disseminated by the Ministry of Finance.
