A few days ago, a former employee of "Gorgia", Giorgi Romelashvili, published a video on social media, showing that the company's warehouse has thousands of facemasks and goggles, although the company claimed that the products were in short supply.
After the video was shared, Romelashvili resigned.
Giorgi Turkadze, the head of marketing at "Gorgia", also resigned.
"Friends, I show my position every evening by participating in rallies.
As for the company "Gorgia", in the development of which I also made a certain contribution, I feel sorry what is happening around it. I wrote a statement on resigniation on December 6".
Giorgi Romelashvili, who exposed the company "Gorgia" in hiding goggles and masks, was summoned for questioning.
“I am being summoned to a criminal case as a witness. The regime will knock on everyone’s door if you don’t speak up,” Romelashvili wrote on social media.
Company “Gorgia” has released a statement and confirms the restriction on the sale of the aforementioned products, but does not specify by whom. However, the company is likely to have received an order from the Revenue Service.
"Last weekend, as individual stores, including us, restricted the sale of certain products.
The stores moved the products to warehouses in a place visible to employees. At the same time, we actively worked to return the products to the shelves, because it is important for us that these products become available to everyone again.
Our customers know that we consider the European Union to be the only, unconditional, path to development. And, on the path of free expression of opinion, the safety of each of you is more important to us than anything else," the company wrote on its personal Facebook page.
