Businessman Lasha Papashvili, the founder of Redix Group declares, that the current political processes in the country put the economy of Georgia at risk.
As he told BMG, it is very important for the processes to move from the street to the offices for negotiations.
"The law has been approved. Now, the relevant branches of the government and all of us must work hand in hand on this law, to make it acceptable to the European Union and the citizens. Let's remember, what happened in Georgia between 1992-1993 and not damage the economy", said Lasha Papashvili.
The founder of Redix Group, which owns a number of hotels in the regions and Tbilisi, says that due to the ongoing political processes in the country, hotel reservations are being canceled.
"The summer tourist season is coming, but reservations of tens of millions USD worth have already been canceled. The loss of income from tourism naturally affects the exchange rate of GEL. In March, the economy of Georgia grew by 8.2%. Growth was expected to reach 10% in the following months, but growth is likely to moderate in May. We all have to think. Let's not damage the economy ", says Lasha Papashvili.
