A total of 128,179,715 GEL ($40.9 mln/€37.4 mln) has already been accumulated in the StopCov fund as of now.
The funds raised in the StopCoV Fund, which was created on March 23, will be used to overcome the coronavirus crisis.
Recent large donations to the fund made by individuals include 1.2 million GEL from Davit Khidasheli and 1 million GEL from Shota Shalelashvili.
The head and founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party, former PM Bidzina Ivanishvili, made a significant donation of 100 million GEL ($31.9 mln/€29.2 mln) to the StopCov Fund last week as well.
Ruling Georgian Dream party members in the Georgian government as well as in the parliament will transfer one-third of their monthly salaries to the StopCov Fund for three months.
As of now, more than 3,300 people and companies have donated to the fund.
