Georgia received 15 thousand doses of AstraZeneca as a gift from Lithuania. The vaccines arrived at Tbilisi Airport on July 24, 2021.
 
Alexander Khvtisiashvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Saulius Valainis, Deputy Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia met the cargo at Tbilisi International Airport.
 
According to the decision of the Lithuanian government, vaccines against Covid-19 have been allocated to three Eastern Partnership member states - Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova.
 
The Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Davit Zalkaliani thanked the Lithuanian Government for the vaccines through the social network.
