A 1,750-metre-long zipline, the longest dual construction of the type in Europe, will be built on Chirukhi Mountain, Adjara region.
The regional Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara on Tuesday said it had opened the tender for the construction of GEL 9.5 million infrastructure, set to be completed by the deadline of October 2024.
The body said the project would create a “new tourist attraction” in the country through the zipline, with its highest point set to be situated 2,496 metres above sea level.
The lower station of the zipline will feature tourist infrastructure, recreation areas and food facilities.
