Lopota Lake Resort & Spa in Kakheti is preparing for a particularly busy September, with a large share of dates already booked for business tourism events. According to Maka Ghlighvashvili, Commercial Director of the resort, demand is high in both the individual and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism segments.

Speaking on BMGTV’s Women’s Narrative, Ghlighvashvili highlighted the growing importance of business tourism to the resort’s operations.

“In the case of small business events, we typically host around 150–200 guests,” she said. “However, in September we’re expecting between 250 and 400 visitors for a single large-scale event.”

In addition to corporate bookings, individual reservations are also gaining strength, particularly around the vintage season, which traditionally draws strong interest.

“We host a vintage festival every September, which creates high demand for individual stays,” Ghlighvashvili noted. “During this period, much of the room capacity is allocated to individual guests. That said, revenue from group bookings remains significant for the resort. That’s why even in high season, we accommodate multi-day corporate groups.”

Founded in 2008, Lopota Lake Resort & Spa has become a year-round destination for both international and domestic tourists. Following recent infrastructure expansions, the resort now boasts 310 hotel rooms and employs approximately 450 staff.
