Low-cost airline Ajet is launching regular flights on the Ankara–Tbilisi–Ankara route. According to the application submitted to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, flights will begin at the end of September with a frequency of four times a week—every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Ajet is a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, Turkey’s largest carrier. The Civil Aviation Agency has already granted the airline the necessary authorization to operate regular flights on this new route.Among neighboring countries, Georgia’s air traffic is most intensive with Turkey. According to last year’s data, more than 1.2 million passengers were carried between the two countries, accounting for 47% of Georgia’s total passenger flow with its neighbors.

Between January and July, a total of 20,766 passenger and cargo flights were carried out, representing a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
