Confectionery manufacturing company Madam De has renewed its production line. As a result, the factory started operating with doubled capacity.
Aleksandre Ratishvili, director of the company noted that 2022 was an outstanding year for the production of Madam De. According to him, about GEL 1.5 million was invested for re-equipment, 70% of which was co-financed by the EBRD.
"In 2022, we renewed the production line in our production. We brought new equipment from Germany, which, along with increasing production, gave us the opportunity to produce bread, cookies and confectionery. With the installation of new equipment, the production capacity has doubled, and from March we will start working on the production of up to 10 new types of products together with foreign partners," said Sandro Ratishvili.
Today, 18,000 - 20,000 units of products are produced per hour in Madam De and sold in the local market. After adding a new type of product, the company will be able to employ an additional 8-10 people at new workplaces.
Aleksandre Ratishvili notes that if today their products were sold only in Georgia, after adding a new product, the company will start working on the sale of confectionery products in neighboring countries.
