Georgian bakery producer MBC Georgia, the company behind the Madam De brand, has expanded its production capacity with a new manufacturing facility built through an investment of more than GEL 6 million. The new plant will employ up to 60 people and support the company’s export ambitions.

Speaking to BM.GE, company director Aleksandre Ratishvili said the facility has been completed after about a year of construction and is now undergoing final interior preparations. The expansion will enable the company to fulfill new contracts, including its first exports of frozen bakery products to Israel.

Ratishvili said exports are expected to begin within the next month, as the company has already completed the necessary preparations and finalized the contract. The remaining steps involve meeting regulatory requirements and completing final bureaucratic procedures under Israeli legislation.

Founded in 1998 with American and French investment, MBC Georgia produces bread, pastries, and cakes under the Madam De brand. Its products are currently available in around 1,500 retail outlets across Georgia.
