Magti no longer buys Internet resources from Caucasus Online. Gia Jokhtaberidze, the founder of the company, stated about it at the committee meeting held in the Parliament.
According to him, the contract between the parties expired on November 1, 2021, after which Magti started purchasing internet resources from Turkish and Azerbaijani suppliers and their internet resource is one percent higher.
Magti was buying wholesale internet resource for its network from Caucasus Online for years.
"I want to make a statement about the critical infrastructure. From November 1, 2021, we terminated contract with Caucasus Online, when the previous contract expired. As a result, Caucasus does not provide us with the internet. Only small companies buy internet from Caucasus Online, this company practically does not have big client in Georgia.
When Mr. Kakha Bekauri is talking about the European quality, it does not mean that European internet is better than the internet we take from Turkey and Azerbaijan," Gia Jokhtaberidze said.
