The general director of company REDCO declares, that most of the businesses in Georgia will no longer have the resource to recover in the case of long-term restrictions.

Malkhaz Kunelauri told TV-Program Business Morning, that the restrictions should be adjusted so as not to cause a complete collapse of the economy.

"This year was not easy due to the imposed restrictions. The current situation puts the business and especially the tourism sector in a difficult position. December and January are the most important months of the winter season," Kunelauri said.

According to him, despite such a difficult year, RED-CO has not stopped any of them started projects, including in Gudauri.

"As for the plans, it all depends on how it develops and how much the scale of construction, rent, sales will increase, which in turn depends on restrictions and pandemic. The sooner it is removed; the sooner the business will start to recover. Let me make it clear that no business has so many resources in Georgia that it can recover in the case of long-term restrictions. If it does not end quickly, many businesses will not be able to recover at all," Kunelauri said.

According to him, a middle ground must be found during the management of the pandemic. The restrictions should be short-term and must not continue for 2-2 months.
