"Making future plans is more difficult now than amid the pandemic, - Salome Kusiani, CEO of Eski, told BM.GE.

Salome Kusiani talks about the reduced number of customers in the last 4 months and suggests that this fact is related to the current events in the country. She adds that the behavior of Georgian customers has also changed, as they are saving money. In addition, the number of international visitors, who were their active customers, has also decreased.

"The activities of Eski are positively influenced by exhibitions and sales, which are held at various locations throughout the year. In December, practically all such events were canceled and this direction is still suspended, which affects both sales and awareness.

Looking at the period from December to March, the sales figure has decreased by 1.5 times. In addition, in the current chaos, we are focused only on survival and there is little space left for development," says Salome Kusiani.

According to her, planning anything in the future is a challenge for them, although they plan to host various master classes in the social concept store to diversify their income.

“Due to the uncertain situation and the blurred reality, it is difficult for us to plan for the year, but our goal is to strengthen social enterprises and support our participants,” says the CEO of Eski.

"Eski" appeared on the market in September 2022 and is the first space to unite the products of social enterprises operating in Georgia in one space. The space currently brings together 30 social enterprises and 1,000 types of products.
