The Mamisoni ski resort in North Ossetia is planned to be launched ahead of schedule, by the fourth quarter of 2023. The construction of the all-season mountain-recreational complex Mamisoni will amount to 15.6 billion rubles (US$212 mln). Another upcoming grand project of North Ossetia is Alania Park, planned to be opened in 2022.

The Mamisoni ski resort, together with Alania Park (Ossetian Disneyland) are considered as the largest projects of North Ossetia. The anchor investor of both projects is Vladimir Guriev, also called as “real man” by local media.

The launching schedule of the facilities at Mamisoni resort envisaged the creation of 774 beds by the fourth quarter of 2024. However, since the construction of the first ropeway and development of 200 beds at the resort are planned by the Q4 2023, this will allow the project to be put into service ahead of schedule, local media Expert South reports, citing Guriev.

Currently the locations of hotels, their categories have been determined, architectural solutions are being developed at Mamisoni resort.

The volume of financing for the construction of the all-season mountain-recreational complex Mamisoni will amount to 15.6 billion rubles (US$ 122,220,000). For the implementation of the first stage of the project until 2024, 9 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget. The first stage provides for the construction of two ropeways, as well as 14.9 km of ski slopes, a service center building, and engineering infrastructure facilities.

The second and third stages of the development of the resort envisage the construction of ski slopes, avalanche protection systems, highways, parking, as well as accommodation facilities and infrastructure.

As for Alania Park, announced to be opened in 2022, it is believed to become not just a year-round amusement park similar to Disneyland or Europa-park, but also an educational center representing the culture of all peoples of the Caucasus, which will be able to compete with the world's most famous amusement parks. Alania Park will include more than 30 entertainment venues, including a planetarium, an ice skating rink, a 3D cinema, water parks, catering facilities, and ski areas, as region15.ru reports.

The all-season ski resort Mamisoni and Alania Park, that are one of the most ambitious projects in the history of North Ossetia, are believed to become centers of attraction for tourists from all over the world.
