“Georgian Product to the World – Georgian Post’s new service allows small businesses and not only them, deliver their produce to any location in the world, once this produce is sold from e-shop,” – stated Dimitri Kumsishvili, the First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia at the presentation of Georgian Product to the World – open electronic platform of Georgian Post, Ltd.’s new service. The new product of the limited company of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Georgian Post, represents an electronic platform, with the help of which any person will have an opportunity to perform electronic commerce within the country or export their produce, shipment of which will be provided by Georgian Post.
By integrating the above electronic platform to the online shop web site, shipment open module will open on the page to provide users with details on cost of shipment, delivery dates and location of the order. Users will also be able to use insurance service. According to the First Prime Minister, this is the service, which will allow small businesses, create new jobs and accordingly deliver their products to any place in the world.
“Our goal is to support the development of electronic commerce in Georgia. Our service will facilitate development and extension of manufacturing in Georgia and will significantly improve productive, fast and proper development of e-commerce in the country. This will also positively influence development of the region in terms of technology,” – stated Levan Chikvaidze, Director General of Georgian Post, at the presentation of the product.
Several Georgian companies have already shown interest to Georgian Post’s new product. This service will be integrated in B2C platform, which allows for quick establishment of an online shop and selling products in internet.
