“Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theater could not receive income of about 400,000 GEL," Eka Mazmishvili, director of the Theater, told BM.GE.

Eka Mazmishvili notes that the theater was ready to operate in compliance with the regulations, although there were some difficulties in that case as well.

"It would be difficult to restore the performances under the given recommendations, as we were losing 60% -75% of the audience. However, opening of the theatres mean that actors would be in shape to start performing," she said.

According to the director of Marjanishvili Theater, the Theater is funded by the state, so salaries have not been cut and utility costs are covered from the state budget.

However, theaters and cinemas had to open in Georgia on November 1, but the state delayed it once again due to the worsened epidemiological condition.
