McDonald's To Open 2 New Restaurants In Tbilisi With GEL 23 MLN Investment

McDonald's Georgia continues to expand its chain with an investment of GEL 23 million and opened 2 branches in Tbilisi, on Gotua Street and Vazha-Pshavela Avenue.

McDonald's new restaurant located on Gotua Street is already hosting guests, but its official opening is scheduled for October 1. On the same day, the fast food restaurants will officially open another branch on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue. As the company told BM.GE, a total of GEL 16.5 million was spent to open the branch of McDonald's on Gotua str, while GEL 6.5 million GEL - in setting up a restaurant on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue.

The new space opened on Gotua Street combines a McCafe, a children's birthday center and a Play Land, the restaurant will also have a 24-hour McDrive. It is equipped with disabled infrastructure, electric chargers and solar panels. It should be noted that in the new branch of fast food, guests will be able to charge their phones with chargers on the table.

"New restaurant on Gotua str. provides all types of McDonald's services. The facility is eco-friendly, located at the ladn area of 1,600 sq.m., which includes outdoor seating space, solar panels on the roof, and electric car chargers in the parking lot. The interior of the restaurant is of premium class", said Elene Baghaturia, the head of the marketing department of "McDonald's Georgia", in a conversation with TV-program "Business Morning".

In the new branches opened on Gotua and Vazha-Pshavela avenues, McDonald's Georgia will create an additional 110 jobs. In total, the company employs 2100 people.
