Members of the USAID-Georgia team are at polling stations observing ‘that all sides ensure that voting is safe and smooth’ – USAID-Georgia said in a statement, tagging the Embassy of the United States in a Facebook post.
“A strong democracy depends on citizen participation in local elections and political processes. Today, Georgia’s citizens have an opportunity to make progress in that direction by voting in municipal elections. We continue to partner with the people of Georgia to build a more citizen-centered democracy where citizens participate in national and local political processes, and where government institutions and elected officials earn the trust of the citizens they serve” – the statement reads.
