Migration Department deports 57 foreign nationals from Georgia

Officers of the Migration Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), in close coordination with relevant units, have deported 57 foreign nationals from Georgia.

Through comprehensive measures recently undertaken by the Migration Department, a total of 57 citizens, including those from Turkiye, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Moldova, Sudan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and China, have been expelled from Georgia.

The MIA also confirmed that, in accordance with current legislation, those deported have been barred from re-entering Georgia.

The Migration Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs is responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. Its mandate includes identifying foreign nationals residing without legal grounds and expelling them through intensive immigration controls and other measures.
