According to public information requested by BMG from the presidential administration, Mikheil Kavelashvili has an advisor in the field of international relations, whose official salary is 6,424 GEL.
Due to the requirements of Article 44 of the General Administrative Code and the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, the presidential administration did not provide us with the identity and CV of Mikheil Kavelashvili's only advisor, but as BMG has learned, he is Luka Ekhvaia.
According to open sources, Luka Ekhvaia is a senior researcher at the Center for International Policy Research and Forecasting. From 2010 to 2014, he studied at Caucasus University - School of Public Administration (CSG), specializing in international relations (Bachelor's degree); from 2015 to 2017, he studied at the University of Bologna, Faculty of Political Sciences, and received a Master's degree in interdisciplinary research and studies of Eastern Europe.
