Minister of Health Ekaterine Tikaradze claims that mass immunization will start in Georgia in July.
The health minister first appeared in the media today after recovering from a coronavirus.
"The country is fully ready. As announced, mass immunization will start in July. All resources are mobilized for this - both the deployment brigades and the required amount of vaccines. This process will be carried out smoothly," Ekaterine Tikaradze said.
The media wondered when the promised million doses of Pfizer vaccine would arrive in the country, to which the Minister of Health replied that she could not say a specific date at this stage.
Note: The launch of mass immunization in early July has also been announced by NCDC officials.
