The Ministry of Education announced it will allocate 1.3 million GEL for the rehabilitation of TSU’s Kutaisi Vocational Education Center. Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze visited the center, congratulated students on the start of the academic year, and wished them success in their studies.
Together with TSU Rector Jaba Samushia, the Minister met with staff, inspected the educational infrastructure, and discussed future plans. According to the Ministry, the funds will be used this year to carry out rehabilitation works at the center.
In 2025, around 500 students enrolled in 18 professional programs at TSU’s Tbilisi and Kutaisi centers, including accounting, preschool education, customs, financial services, library work, nursing, front-end development, freight forwarding, warehouse operations, and event organization. Of these, 260 students are studying in Kutaisi.
“The demand for TSU professional programs continues to grow. Over 2,000 applicants registered for the 2025 intake alone. All professional programs at TSU are fully state-funded,” the Ministry reported.
