Ministry of Health to Provide Equipment to Nearly 400 IDPs to Support Self-Employment

ბიუჯეტი

Georgia’s Ministry of Health will provide work tools and equipment to nearly 400 internally displaced persons (IDPs) to support their self-employment, according to an official announcement. The ministry has not specified when or in which regions the equipment will be distributed, but emphasized that the program aims to help IDPs and eco-migrants develop professional activities and create sustainable sources of income.

According to the ministry, the winning projects were selected by a commission based on predetermined criteria. Participants chose the specific tools and equipment they need themselves, selecting items that will help them launch or expand their small businesses.

The ministry notes that alongside housing initiatives, creating additional income opportunities for IDPs and eco-migrants is a core component of the work carried out by the Agency for IDPs, Eco-Migrants and Livelihoods. Each year, the agency implements multiple targeted programs to support livelihood development and ensure long-term economic stability for displaced families.
