Starting next week, the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth will meet individually with all 19 state universities to discuss the ongoing education reform, Deputy Minister Zviad Gabisonia announced at a committee meeting. Each university will be consulted separately to present its perspective.
Gabisonia emphasized that the goal is to hear the universities’ vision regarding which programs should be considered classic directions under the reform and which have the strongest scientific positions.
“These meetings will allow us to understand the priorities of each university and engage with deputies and stakeholders interested in these directions,” Gabisonia said.
The announcement comes as the "GD" party plans to review the Law on Higher Education in an accelerated manner, with adoption expected imminently.
