Oncology, oncohematology and traumatology/orthopedy are the fields of treatment, to seek for which most Georgian patients travelled abroad last year. Over the period of 9 months of last year, more than 3 mln was spent for treatment. The biggest amount – over 1 mln GEL – was spent for oncological treatment. Second position is held by traumatology/orthopedy with treatment costs of 450 989 GEL and next is oncohematology with 379 805 GEL spent.

Millions of GEL was spent for treatment abroad in the recent years.
In 2016, for this purpose 6 245 361 GEL was spent, in 2015 the amount was 4 577 793 GEL. similarly to 2017, in previous years, oncology, oncohematology and neurology had been the leading demand.
