According to the document, 96.8% percent of the total money transfers from abroad came from 26 largest partner countries, with the volume of transfers from these countries each exceeding 1 million USD in October 2023. In October 2022 the share of these 26 countries constituted 97.0% percent of the total volume of money transfers.
The decrease is mainly related to the reduction of money transferes by persons arriving from the Russian Federation. If in October 2022, USD 295 million were transferred from Russia to Georgia, this year this amount stood at USD 61.8 million, which represents a 79% drop.
