More than 700 companies have stopped working since March 1, - information portal BIA informed BM.GE.
As of the portal, 1,600 companies have temporarily suspended operating and are waiting for the market to stabilize.
According to the statistics provided by the BIA, the largest share accounts for construction and real estate sector (23%), followed by food (21%) and distribution companies (8%).
Economic activities are halted by the companies involved in the most affected tourism industry. Operating became difficult for cafes and restaurants.

And the remaining 16% of the companies were distributed to other existing categories.
