The parliamentary Procedural Affairs and Rules Committee approved the MP authority of Giorgi Barvenishvili, who was number 71 on the Georgian Dream (GD) party list and substituted Irakli Kobakhidze, recently appointed as the PM.
The newly-elected Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani will have no substitution. He was a single-mandate MP from Zugdidi and no interim elections are held in the election year of 2024.
