Mukuzani Wine Cellar plans to double its annual production. As the company’s chief winemaker, Vako Katamadze, told BM.GE, if until now the enterprise produced up to 50,000 bottles of wine per year, this year this figure is expected to increase to 100,000 bottles.
According to him, the growth in productivity is due to increased demand from export markets and the potential for adding new markets.
“In order to increase productivity, the winery has been completely retooled. The need for this was determined by the increased demand for exports and the addition of new markets,” Katamadze said.
It is worth noting that the company’s wines are already sold in Europe and Japan, while negotiations are underway with Korea and Africa.
According to the company, sales growth is also planned for the US market.
Mukuzani Wine Cellar appeared on the market in 2016. The company owns a 10-hectare vineyard in Mukuzani, Gurjaani district, and several brands, including: Mukuzani Wine Cellar, Lomiauri Estate, and EsCargot. On April 12, 2025, the winery opened a tasting room and wine museum in the village of Mukuzani.
