On June 10, the President of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, visited the occupation line in the village of Khurvaleti, Georgia, and assessed the current political situation.

"I am deeply convinced that you are still aspiring to join the European Union and NATO. We, Lithuania, a country that has probably made several mistakes but still managed to make ambitious steps, have been able to join the European Union within 14 years of gaining independence. Our example can be beneficial to you. So my aim as President of the Republic of Lithuania is to help Georgia in this process, support you, and introduce different projects, such as a solar power plant in this camp, giving locals access to hot water, and starting a small business. Statements are essential, but taking concrete steps is sometimes more important for these people," - he stated.
