Within the framework of the state program for the promotion of Georgian wine production in the local market, the natural wine festival ZERO COMPROMISE will be held in Tbilisi on May 2-3. The National Wine Agency reports on this.
The annual ZERO COMPROMISE festival has been held since 2018 at the initiative of the Natural Wine Association. This year, 84 local wineries and 30 wineries from France, Italy, Spain, Austria, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Mexico, Turkey and Slovenia are participating in the festival.
According to the National Wine Agency, the winegrowers and winemakers participating in the festival do not use systemic preparations, mineral fertilizers and herbicides in their vineyards, and they make wine without any industrial additives. Wine aged in this way is called "natural wine" and the festival brings together those producers who age their wine in the traditional way.
"The festival is visited annually by wine importers, journalists, writers and other professionals in the field from many countries, which allows representatives of Georgian wineries to introduce their wines to potential buyers on the spot. This year, with the support of the National Wine Agency, the festival is also being visited by American wine professionals and wine experts from different countries of the world," the agency said.
