The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy talks about the submission of guidelines for GEL management.
Davit Songhulashvili announced this initiative in the parliament on February 21, when Irakli Gharibashvili was approved as the Prime Minister for the second time.
According to Songhulashvili, a commission composed of fiscal and monetary agencies should be set up and the process of money management must be more transparent.
"It is very important for the National Bank to submit guidelines for GEL management. It will be as transparent as possible and all the processes related to it must be predictable. This is a challenge not only for our country, but for all countries with small economies. Decisions and non-standard approaches are important in this case," said David Songhulashvili.
