The rate of face mask-wearing reduced to 43% in Georgia, that could lead to worsening of the epidemiological situation in the country, - the National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health (NCDC) reports.
Amiran Gamkrelidze, head of NCDC notes, that “the rate of mask-wearing was up to 75%, then it came below to 66%. As of yesterday, the rate of face mask-wearing has reduced to 43% and that is very bad”.
The NCDC urges the citizens to wear face masks otherwise that could lead to worsening of the epidemiological situation in the country.
“Wearing a face mask is still essential indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as in the public transport. The face mask must cover the mouth and nose while wearing it”, Amiran Gamkrelidze declares.
