A new automobile brand Geely Auto has entered Georgia, which is officially represented by Tegeta Cars in the country.
At the initial stage, the company will be represented in the local market with a compact SUV, Geely Coolray, but in the near future, other Geely models will be introduced, including Monjaro, Tugella and Geometry C.
According to Giorgi Shakarashvili, commercial director of "Geely Georgia", the appearance of Geely on the Georgian market is connected with the increase in demand for Chinese-made cars.
It seems that consumers want to buy high-tech and innovative cars at an affordable price. For example, Geely Coolray is distinguished by high-quality details, modern security systems, comfortable interior and unique design, although the price of this SUV is in the range of USD 20,000, which can be considered quite cheap compared to competitors.
Geely Holding Group owns about ten automobile brands, including Volvo and Smart. Such a diverse portfolio allows the brand to share technology among the models and reduce expenditures.
Giorgi Shakarashvili noted that the Volvo team worked on the creation of safety systems presented in Geely cars, and this Swedish car manufacturer has been associated with safety and security for decades.
