The new Republican Hospital will be a multi-disciplinary and high-tech clinic with 500 beds, which will cover all basic medical directions, - the Ministry of Health reports.
"In addition, a children's oncology and hematology department will be located at the base of the clinic, a central blood bank of modern standards will be opened, a GDP standard pharmacy, training spaces, a medical library, telemedicine spaces and others will be set on the territory. The Central University Clinic named after Kipshidze is becoming a regional hub that provides new opportunities for the country.
The Republican Hospital will maintain the status of a university clinic, which conceptually implies the full integration of future doctors in clinical activities and the provision of the appropriate infrastructure," said the Ministry of Health.
The Republican Hospital is currently designed for 800 beds.
