New Vision University is building a sports medicine center on Bokhua Street in Tbilisi with an investment of several million GEL. Khatuna Saganelidze, Vice President of the Sports Medicine Association of bm.ge told about it.
The project, which covers 3200 sq.m. The area is implemented, in addition to the medical center, will combine training grounds and other necessary facilities. According to Khatuna Saganelidze, New Vision University has already completed the arrangement of outdoor infrastructure, which includes four basketball and football fields. The construction of the building requires the consent of the City Hall, which has been waiting for several years.
"The process of agreement with the City Hall to start construction has been going on for several years, we hope we will reach a logical end, for this stage external infrastructure has been arranged, stadiums have been built where athletes will undergo rehabilitation. Medicine needs specific education, we also have a shortage of specialists, so we are going to train locals. It is important to attract young people and I think this center will make them want to study in this direction. As for the volume of investment, it is difficult to name the exact number, because the cost of infrastructure is not less than the cost of infrastructure, "- explains Khatuna Saganelidze.
The first sports medicine center of this scale in Georgia will initially be staffed with foreign invited specialists, and after the training of locals, Georgian doctors will be employed in the medical center.
