Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will travel to Kazan (Russia) to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit, which will take place from October 22 to 24. This was announced by the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

The summit, chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin, will gather representatives from over 30 countries. Participants will discuss current global crises, issues related to the formation of a multipolar world order, and the potential expansion of the organization by adding new members.

This marks the first time the Armenian Prime Minister will attend a BRICS summit following Armenia’s application to join the organization. BRICS currently includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, along with new members who joined in 2024.
