“Everyone has finally been convinced that the Georgian state is stronger than ever, and no blackmail will ever undermine its strength,” stated Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during a briefing at the Government Administration.
According to the Prime Minister, opposition representatives “staged an imitation of war” on the streets of Tbilisi, but their attempt to “organize a NatsMaidan” in Georgia ultimately failed.
“I would like to once again summarize the developments of the past week. Everyone has finally been convinced that the Georgian state is stronger than ever, and no blackmail will ever undermine its strength.
The radical opposition attempted to organize a NatsMaidan in Georgia; moreover, they staged an imitation of war on the streets of Tbilisi. However, it is evident that yet another attempt to organize a NatsMaidan has been thwarted.
Over the past four years, there have been four attempts to instigate a Maidan in our country, but the state has successfully responded to each of these efforts,” he remarked.
