Non-Cash Spending On Groceries Increased By 22% Annually – TBC Capital

In November 2024, the growth of total non-cash spending volume through TBC Bank’s channels amounted to 21%. The number of non-cash transactions grew by 13% to the same period of the previous year, - according to the report published by TBC Capital.

As of the document, in November, non-cash spending on groceries increased by 22% annually and the average spending through TBC Bank’s channels amounted to GEL 16. For the same period, inflation on foods and non-alcoholic beverages noticeably increased to 3.1%.

In November 2024, the annual growth rate of non-cash spending in hotels through TBC Bank’s channels amounted to 42%. The average spending per transaction decreased to GEL 359 in November. Whereas in the previous month, it reached the peak for the respective year and amounted to GEL 414.

Non-cash spending by non-residents, through TBC Bank’s channels rose by 39% annually in November.
