The construction and renovation materials company “Nova” plans to continue its nationwide expansion through a franchise model, with new branches set to open in Zestaponi, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, and Tsnori. At the same time, the company intends to expand its existing exhibition spaces in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi, according to General Director Edisher Khimshiashvili, who spoke on Business Morning.
Khimshiashvili announced that “Nova” plans to issue corporate bonds in 2026, with the first tranche expected to reach GEL 50–60 million. The main purpose of the issuance will be to refinance the company’s existing bank loans and strengthen its financial stability.
“Expanding through franchising is faster and financially easier. We already have long-established regional partners who can become exemplary franchise partners, which is why we are considering this model in Zestaponi, Zugdidi, Ozurgeti, and Tsnori,” Khimshiashvili explained. “Ultimately, our goal is for Nova to be represented in every region of Georgia, while continuing to expand in the three main cities, Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi.”
According to him, the company consistently allocates significant resources to production development, with annual investments exceeding GEL 2 million over the past five years. “Issuing bonds is the logical continuation of Nova’s development. It will replace bank loans and create an alternative source of financing, one that is more flexible and strategically beneficial. In the future, we may also issue bonds in U.S. dollars, likely in 2026 or 2027. Both individual and corporate investors will be able to purchase Nova securities,” he added.
