The number of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance increased by 1.2% or 8, 000 in May. As of recent data, 668 555 citizens were registered in the list of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance, which was 18% of the Georgian population.
39,893 families are included in the state program of public employment, this program ensures to maintain the status of socially vulnerable for four years. In May 2023, the state spent a total of GEL 57.6 million on the allowance.
It should be noted that in March of this year, the number of beneficiaries receiving subsistence allowance hit a record high and reached 676,641 thousand.
