The importation of electric vehicles into the country is on the rise. Over the last two years the number of registered electric vehicles increased significantly. As bm.ge was informed by the state revenue services, during the first 10 months of this year 502 electric vehicles were registered and 810 were registered in 2017. Considering only 14 electric vehicles were registered in Georgia in 2016, 2017 marked a huge upsurge in number of electric vehicles. The first five electric vehicles in Georgia were registered back in 2005. At the moment there are 1392 electric vehicles in Georgia.
